Greg Daly Real Estate has an excellent selection of Dairy Farms we are marketing this season.  From “first farm” opportunities to 900 cow dairy units between Karamea in the North to Fox Glacier in the South.  Local farmers are happy with the way Westland Milk Products have been performing currently paying a bonus 10 cents above Fonterra's farm gate price which is sitting at $9/kg/MS mid-October.  The higher advance payment is also a big attraction especially for first time buyers.  Like elsewhere the Coast has an aging farming population with many wishing to retire.  They are keen to meet the market and let the next generation takeover.  Historically the Coast has been the opportunity for young buyers to purchase and progress.  Some of the larger properties is attractive for families or investors to purchase.  We also are marketing a rock quarry and goldmine property in Westport that is attracting good interest.  We are currently working on smaller goldmine investments and some interesting grazing and forestry blocks.  We ARE the biggest rural team and we are locally family owned based on the West Coast.
